My smartphone photography workshops are fun, practical and always relaxed, with plenty of time to put your new skills into practice and ask any questions you may have. They are suitable for beginners, but even if you know your way around a phone camera, you'll still come away with photography tips. editing techniques and creative ideas.

This is the second time I have attended one of Ginny's workshops. I love the creativity and freedom of smartphone photography. It involves a lot of trial and error, which makes it really enjoyable. I have a tendency to be a bit of a perfectionist, and so it's brilliant to have found a creative activity where I can let go of that and be free to experiment!

Creative Smartphone Photography Course -
6-week course starting Thurs 24th April 2025
A 6-week course exploring the creative potential of smartphone photography.
Course outline:
WEEK 1: Smartphone camera settings and photography fundamentals
WEEK 2: An introduction to photo editing using free tools and apps
WEEK 3: Black & white phone photography (including a short photo walk if possible)
WEEK 4: Portraiture, using examples of contemporary photography as inspiration
WEEK 5: Wabi Sabi - Exploring 'imperfection' as a creative choice in photography
WEEK 6: Q&A session covering any unanswered questions. Sharing our work via an online exhibition
You will have optional 'homework' assignments, and the opportunity to share your images with the rest of the group at the start of each session.
