ICS Accounting

July 2025

A phone photography gratitude practice, designed as a mood-boosting creative team activity.

Over 4 weekly sessions (and the days in between), participants at ICS Accounting used photography skills to create daily photos of aspects of their life that they felt an appreciation for.

This collection of images is the culmination of our time together and represents the vast array of these moments of appreciation, experienced and captured.

A few participants have also provided a favourite 'feature' image.

Red Acer

This is a photo of the red acer in my garden. It was taken from under the tree looking up and I was trying to capture the spiders web which you can see slightly.

I enjoyed this mindful moment, focussing on the small things, the intricate and fragile spiders web, the red of the leaves, the shadows.

When I look at this photo I go back to that slow morning where I honoured my need for rest.

Gallop

I grew up near the sea wall on Pilling Sands, and ridden here all my life.

I still love it now.

This is Henry. I wasn't going to buy him at first, for all sorts of reasons, but I caved. I've had him for almost a year now.

Evening Sky

This is taken from my window.

I adore the changing skies, and capturing photos when I can.

This image reminds me of the Mary Poppins 'Chim chiminey' song because of the rooftops.

Oxen Fell

Whilst out driving, my friend and I often play the 'left and right' game where we randomly shout left and right at junctions to see where we end up.

We saw this view and pulled over in a lay by. I was drawn to the colours and textures, I love the lichen covering the signpost.

Favourite Person

I've chosen this photo as it's of my favourite person.

I enjoyed using the filter tools too in the editing process.

In the Moment

I find it hard, like most parents, to stay in the moment whilst spending time with my children. They'd been fighting all moment, but when we went out, they enjoyed this moment on the prom together doing something simple.

I was able to relax and enjoy the moment.

Guitar

I make guitars with a friend and this is one of our designs.

It's my escape and a way to destress. I challenge myself to learn new techniques all the time.
