ICS Accounting
October 2025
A phone photography gratitude practice, designed as a mood-boosting creative team activity.
Over 4 weekly sessions (and the days in between), participants at ICS Accounting used photography skills to create daily photos of aspects of their life that they felt an appreciation for.
This collection of images is the culmination of our time together and represents the vast array of these moments of appreciation, experienced and captured.
A few participants have also provided a favourite 'feature' image.
Tunnel
I enjoy walking down the cycle path near to my home.
I caught this view at sunset. I love the way the trees create a tunnel.
I wanted to include the light from the streetlamp, but removed the lamp itself in editing as it was a distraction.

A Drink With Friends
I went out for a walk after storm Amy.
There was a lot of water on the ground after all the rain, and I caught this pair stopping for a drink.
I managed to capture the moment that they put their heads down at the same moment. It looked quite comical.

Visitor
Our neighbour's cat is a daily visitor to our garden. I wanted to make her central in the image, to make it clear she was the subject of the photo.

Ray of Light
I was walking near the castle and spotted the light coming through the trees at dusk.
I created this dramatic image, but then created another very different photo, with the leaves lit up by a nearby streetlamp.
Same subject, very different images.

Beach Walk
I love walking my dog Barney, on the beach.
I have always lived by the sea, and couldn't image not doing. It's so peaceful and every day offers a different view with the changing conditions.

Autumnal Evening on the Shore
Growing up in Bolton le Sands the shore has always been a special place for me.
Watching the sunset across the bay is one of my favourite things to do at any time of the year.
